Observing the history of Victor Hugo, his life, and his drawings, in 1975 I felt a compelling need to take up pen and ink, followed by brushes and gouache. The transition to oil painting and its potential variations opened a door to an apocalyptic bridge in the style of Dali. In 1976, the birth of my first child triggered an artistic frenzy.

I then embarked on exploring materials and their decompositions. I delved into the alchemy of colors, the whirl of pigments, and the surprise of the effects produced. In 1979, my second child was born, and the need to delve deeper into artistic expression opened up to the miracle of life and its mysteries. The concept of birth, fatherhood, its continuity, and the creation of the work. The incubator, Dali’s egg, and its variations. The world of humans and the Universe.

The exploitation of all materials, inanimate objects, and various assemblies. An interaction of elements among themselves, as my first art master used to say: painting is about approaching three colors which you learn to make friends with by blending them together. The objects and materials depend on how we help them to interlock. I paint with my guts and an open heart, sometimes in the pain and suffering of the woes of the earthly world. I established my workshop for sculptures and paintings in Eure-et-Loir in 1988. I met the master Ajit DE, winner of the first prize in fine arts and honoris causa in arts and letters. I joined his workshop in 1991 and worked with him for ten years. He was a friend of Dali.

Worked as a copyist at the Museum of Modern Art until 2002 and at the Carnavalet Museum until 2005. Since 2023, a change of direction; transforming my view of the world into photographs where animals blend with humans.
